Mark Henry, Ed.D., Managing Director, joined SAMCO Capital Markets in February of 2024. He has 42 years of experience in public education, the last 33 as a superintendent of schools in five different Texas school districts. He spent the last 13 years as Superintendent of Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, the third largest school district in Texas, with approximately 119,000 students. During his career, he helped lead over $3b of successful bond referendums. Dr. Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from the University of Texas in Arlington. His master’s and doctorate degrees in Administration were both from the University of North Texas.

He is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a Municipal Securities Representative (Series 52) and holds the Uniform Securities Agent State Law License (Series 63).
