George McLiney

George J. McLiney, Jr., Chief Managing Director, founded McLiney And Company in 1965 before joining SAMCO in 2019. He has been involved in all aspects of the municipal markets during his fifty-five year career. Much of his knowledge came from his father who entered the municipal bond business in 1928. Four of his five children have followed him into the business, and all are now associated with SAMCO.

George is married to Laurie and they have five children, nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to the municipal bond business, George enjoys golf, travel and the outdoors. He still enjoys dabbling in ranching and cattle.

He is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a Municipal Advisor Principal (Series 50) and General Securities Principal (Series 24).
