Andrew Friedman

Andrew Friedman is a Senior Managing Director at SAMCO Capital Markets, and he joined SAMCO on January 15, 2015. Prior to joining SAMCO Capital Markets he worked at Southwest Securities, RBC Capital Markets and the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas.

Andrew has advised hundreds of municipal clients on billions of dollars of public debt in his career and has extensive experience in each method of sale. Apart from ‘typical’ financings, Andrew has advised on many take-or-pay contracts for municipalities and utility systems and partnerships to cost share the development of regional water systems and wastewater facilities. Moreover, he advises municipal clients on the creation and implementation of Public Improvement Districts and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones as well as virtually all the various forms of agreements between parties.

Andrew graduated from Texas Tech University with degrees in Finance and Accounting. He is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as a Municipal Advisor Representative (Series 50), General Securities Representative (Series 7), Investment Banking Representative (Series 79) and Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63). Additionally, he has spoken at various industry trade group functions including for the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas and Texas Association of County Auditors on various matters related to public finance.
